I have several patterns that I have written up and hopefully made clear to everyone. What I am wondering is where to find some pattern testers? I don’t make it a habit to spam other people’s blogs, facebook pages, or websites with links or pleas for help, but I am about to get to that point soon. I would love to be able to publish these patterns (or revamp already published ones), free and paid, but would really like to ensure that they are all bug free and clearly spelled out before doing so. Nothing is more frustrating than downloading a pattern that you simply can’t follow.
If anyone is interested or knows of a place to maybe recruit a few people I would be very appreciative. Unfortunately I cannot pay the testers, my only compensation would be that they could keep the pattern free of charge and use the completed project however they desire.
I am looking for testers for my Pumpkin Patch Munchin Hat, Bohemian Wristlets, Yoda Hat, Carry Along Bag, Skull and Crossbones Tapestry projects. You can see my finished projects in other posts here on my blog to get an idea of what I am talking about. Most of these patterns call for one skein or less of yarn and can be worked up in just a couple of hours. The Carry along bag utilizes 2 skeins of standard red heart yarn. The Pumpkin Patch hat using red heart yarns in 4 different shades but weighs in at 3 oz or less. Yoda Hat uses less than one skein. Wristlets uses one skein or less depending on if you are making the matching hat. Skull and Crossbones Tapestry uses about 15 yards of 10 different colors plus a 1/4 skein of the Main color. That being said most of the projects will cost less than $10 to make even if you have to buy the yarn outright and don’t have something suitable already in your stash.
